At a time when everything is getting more expensive, it’s pretty nice to see just how cheap it is to get a TV nowadays. For just a few hundred bucks, you can get a TV the size of a small rhinoceros. Sure, it’s bloated with adware and has a chip that’s several generations old, but look at how big it is!

This wasn’t always the case. In fact, there was a long period where getting a TV with a flat screen — hell, even one that was bigger than 20 inches — was a big achievement. Here’s one dude showing off what was, at the time of recording in 1999, a pretty massive TV.

How big was it, you ask? A staggering 28 inches.
