Aaron Rodgers’ 2023-2024 football season got off to a very Looney Tunes start last night, with the NFL great appearing to rip his Achilles tendon just four plays into his New York Jets debut.

Moments into the Jet’s game against their intrastate rivals, the Buffalo Bills, Rodgers was sacked by Leonard Floyd, the Green Bay Packers alum’s ankle appearing to awkwardly pop back upon impact. He was ultimately helped off the field, and sidelined for the rest of the game.

While the Jets ultimately nabbed the W sans their new star quarterback, defeating Buffalo 22-16, it appears that Rodgers may have taken a massive, possibly career-ending L mere moments into his Jets tenure.

“Concerned with his Achilles,” Coach Robert Saleh said shortly after the incident, according to the Associated Press. “MRI is probably going to confirm what we think is going to happen, so prayers tonight. But it’s not good.”

Though it still has yet to be determined what, exactly is going on with the football star’s ankle — an MRI is scheduled for later today, per Saleh — or whether he plans on consulting an actual doctor or an ayahuasca shaman amid his recovery, one thing is certain: Cheers for the "Jets" on 9/11 should be a crime.
