Bad news for Duolingo and its cheeked-up, bikini-clad Owl– Vaseline is coming for its gig as the horniest brand on Twitter, uploading an ad illustrating how a nice white glazing can do a hole good in their latest viral advertisement.
On Monday, July 10, Vaseline shared their latest campaign promoting the largely-bygone trend of “slugging,” or dousing your skin in a layer of petroleum jelly before bed, one that singlehandedly launched 1,000 “u up?” texts.
That glazed glow that only slugging can create. ✨ All you need is Vaseline Healing Jelly. #Vaseline #Slugging pic.twitter.com/QHy2HHW0or

“That glazed glow that only slugging can create,” they captioned their post, clearly leaning in to the reactions they (probably) hoped for. “All you need is Vaseline Healing Jelly.”
A year and a half after “slugging” became a trend on Skin-Tok, Vaseline has chosen to remind their customers that their product is both great for your skin and just as horny as you are.

“What are you doing step-donut?” joked @RumDiesOnB.
“I prefer to look like the right while snuggling afterward,” commented @rileyjamjam, adding in a proper keyboard smash for good measure while @AtropalPope took the post as a sign to reach out to their ex.
“I should call him,” they wrote.
“Is this for the butt?” they asked.
The answer? A resounding “probably not.” After two days of getting their slugged holes skewered by a good chunk of gay Twitter, the brand briefly re-opened their comments, clarifying that their post was all about moisturizer and moisturizer alone.
“Y’all, we were talking about skincare,” they wrote. “Thanks for making this weird.”
But not everyone was sold on this denial, with several brand-Twitter veterans pointing out just how often corporations have jumped the shark – or in this case, frosted the donut — in pursuit of that sweet, sweet viral attention.
“That they turned off replies but left the tweet up proves they know exactly what they did here,” wrote @coolmom42069.
Vaseline: For when you want to lube up your holes … which ones? That’s up to you, no matter what the horny overlords of brand Twitter say.
