Earlier this week, a video began going around X/Twitter that purported to show a Ukrainian tank disguised as a house. You read that right, a full house.

Now, that claim wasn’t true, though I desperately wish it was. Could you imagine fighting on the battlefield only to have your leg blown off by a babushka coming at you from her front porch at 80 mph?
According to the fun-ruiners at PolitiFact, what this “house” actually is is an experimental vehicle some Ukrainian dude made in 2020.
“A September 2020 YouTube video from the Ukrainian TV channel ‘34 телеканал’ said a folk craftsman had converted an old ‘Zaporozhets,’ a supermini-style car built during Soviet-era Ukraine, into ‘a house on wheels,’” writes author Sara Swann. “An October 2020 article from the news outlet RBC-Ukraine said the car was decorated to look like a Ukrainian village house. The car motor was hidden, and the driver’s seat was built into the floor.”
Why? How about why the hell not?
Plus, since making it, it’s featured in a music video from Ukrainian group KALUSH.

Though, if I’m being honest, I’m more of a badactress fan myself.
