If you happen to be watching True Detective: Night Country, then you’ll know that when it gets dark and cold up north, people start seeing things that seem supernatural. Starting on January 19, the Winnipeg Canada region was inundated with UFO sightings, specifically from pilots flying in the early hours of the morning who reported seeing lights in the sky.

In one night, three different pilots reported seeing lights flying erratically in triangle formations. Air traffic control confirmed that there were no unidentified aircraft in the area, at least not that they were aware of.

As far as evidence goes, there are alleged audio recordings of two of the conversations pilots had with air traffic control and a video of the supposed UFOs.

In one video, which was filmed near Ottawa, what appears to be UFOs braking out of hyperspace, flashing lights repeatedly light up the sky.

There are “at least 17 reports like these from 2023” according to CTVNews.ca, but no surefire answers as to the source of the phenomena. Lights in triangle formation are common when it comes to UFO sightings, but whether that encourages or discourages your belief that they’re supernatural in origin is up to you.
