A child in India managed to fight off a venomous snake by biting it so hard that it passed away.

According to the Times of India, the two-year-old was playing when he noticed the snake and, not understanding the danger, threw something at it in an attempt to try to play with it. The snake’s response was quick, rapidly coiling itself around the child’s hand.

Not having any of that, the child bit down on the snake — and, in fact, bit down so hard that its little soul went up to Snake Heaven.

While the snake managed to bite the child as well, the child survived and is currently in stable condition. It’s not the way a professional snake handler would suggest to resolve the situation, but hey, if it works, it works!
