Months after Twitter Blue head Esther Crawford found viral fame for sleeping on the floor in the early days of Elon Musk’s Twitter (Now With More Labor Violations!) it seems all of her hard work has finally paid off … in the form of a (probably) mediocre severance package.

Crawford’s sleeping bag snap broke the internet — and may or may not have played a role in the San Francisco Building Department’s investigation into the allegedly illegal bedrooms at Twitter’s NorCal HQ — Crawford was axed from her role as Twitter’s director of product management amid the tech giant’s latest round of layoffs, per Platformer’s Zoë Schiffer.

During her time at the company, Crawford garnered a divisive reputation, allegedly cozying up to the Space Karen amid the emergence of those early on “hardcore” Twitter days, a move that apparently irked some of her colleagues.

“She was a nobody who became somebody because she was willing to sell her soul for her 15 mins of fame,” an unnamed “more senior leader” previously told Financial Times. “It’s gross.”

But even with this “et tu, Elon?” moment, it seems Crawford is still committed to the bit,  not just licking Musk’s boots, but adding salt, pepper and enjoying them as a part of a three-course meal.

“The worst take you could have from watching me go all-in on Twitter 2.0 is that my optimism or hard work was a mistake,” she wrote in a Tweet that has garnered more than 2.1 million views since its day on the site, adding that  “Those who jeer & mock are necessarily on the sidelines and not in the arena.”

“I’m deeply proud of the team for building through so much noise & chaos,” she concluded.

You go, girlboss … and remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life.
