Some people get a little too comfortable on airplanes.
Naturally, there will always be those who think it’s okay to pop off their shoes at the start of a seven-hour flight. And in the grand scheme of things, that’s not the end of the world, I guess. But then there are those who, once they hear that “we have reached 10,000 feet” announcement, see the flying experience as an open invitation to do whatever they want.
For example, last year, a Southwest passenger on a one-hour flight from Palm Springs to Las Vegas apparently got out of his seat and demanded a kiss from a flight attendant. Of course, there was also the incident from last month in which an American Airlines passenger announced to the entire flight that another passenger wasn’t real.
Side note: We still don’t know if she was correct about that. Chances are admittedly low that she was sitting next to a reptilian shapeshifter, but she seemed pretty passionate about the whole thing, so who knows? We’ll just say the jury’s still out. (Especially after last week’s congressional hearings on aliens.)
But what is the worst thing — barring a crash — that you could see on a flight?
Well, it seems Instagram user Nuno Alves has the answer.
In his video, Alves pieces together incidents from some of the worst in-flight experiences ever put to film. This includes everything from the wheels popping off while taxiing, to drink carts collapsing, to someone drying their underwear using the personal fan. How did they get wet in the first place? I prefer not to know.
Again, some of the incidents simply reveal the complete and inexplicable ease many people feel on flights. Case in point: One clip shows a woman closing the overhead compartment with her feet. Another displays a man shaving his head. An additional clip shows a woman who appears to be getting a little yoga in while sitting in the aisle seat.
To be honest, a lot of it is pretty funny and entertaining. The perfect antidote to a true flight nightmare (non-crash division): the TV screen in front of your seat not working.
