That’s the disclaimer the TikTok account Cave Exploring includes in every one of its videos. But as one commenter responds, “Don’t worry. I wasn’t going to try. Ever.” I think she speaks for all of us.
Cave exploring TikTok is a new way for the deranged and risk inclined to share their love for squirming through tight spaces in the pitch black with thousands of tons of rock above them.
“I never knew I had claustrophobia until I saw these videos,” marsten03 commented.
Even for adventurous people who love exploring, these psychotic spelunkers are pushing the envelope. I’m sure there are plenty of exciting caves to explore that don’t involve chiseling knuckles - don’t worry, that means rock bulges - and ripping shirts.
“I feel like my kids had more room being born,” Emily remarked.
Why do they do it? Well many of them have a hard time giving a straight answer, probably because there isn’t a rational one. Caveman Hikes tries to explain it but admits that some people just wouldn’t understand.
“This is our way of living,” he says.
As entertaining as these videos are, just watching one is enough to give you a panic attack.
“Why can’t people just stay home and drink a beer and call it a day?” Chance joked.
“People need to realize this isn’t claustrophobia,” Casperzieboon commented. “It’s basic knowledge to be uncomfortable in this situation.”
