This Is What Coronavirus Sounds Like

Scientists at MIT created a song that sounds way more calming than it should.

After mapping the amino acids of the novel coronavirus protein, they used an artificial intelligence program to assign each acid a note and then convert them into music.

The "song" seems to be played on a virtual harp, which accounts for it sounding kinda pleasant, but the lead scientist behind this gag also said the music is indicative of the virus' ability to easily infect people.

“It’s very efficient in tricking the cell to open up the doors, infecting you and propagating itself,” he said.

That sounds great, but unless this is a step toward a vaccine, these scientists should probably stop trying to become SoundCloud artists.
