Given enough time, Pimp My Ride would have eventually just become this.
Back in 2015, a mechanic and gardener named Kevin Nicks was looking for something to do with his old Volkswagen Passat, which had gone largely unused. Rather than simply ditch the car like most other people would do, he decided to build a full shed around it — inadvertently creating a world-record holding monstrosity.
The “fastest shed,” as it’s creatively called, has been updated several times over the years, with upgrades made to the suspension system and engine. In fact, the shed now features the same engine as an Audi RS4 — just in case you really need to camp ASAP.
Given this engine, it’s no surprise that the shed moves fast as hell. A 2018 test of the shed found that it reached speeds of almost 115 miles per hour. Not bad for a goddamn shed!
The shed moves so fast that it’s broken several shed-specific land-speed records. I mean, that’s cool, too, but I can’t imagine the area has much competition.

While the shed hasn’t broken any new records since, Nicks keeps fans up-to-date about the sheds’ goings-on through his Instagram page. It seems that Nicks just likes taking the shed out and about, and he’s even added a few smaller sheds to his arsenal.
No matter the size, I’m sure parking is a bitch — but at least you’ve got a place to sleep once you’ve parked it.
