People with a fear of flying, welcome to your worst nightmare. A new flight from Chinese carrier China Eastern Airlines will hold the record for the world’s longest continually-running flight, advertising that it will take passengers from Shanghai to Buenos Airlines with a two-hour stopover in New Zealand.

Why is the stopover needed? Because, in total, the flight takes between 25 and 29 hours, depending on which direction you’re flying.

Given the distance traveled, this is actually fairly fast and a normal time-to-distance ratio for an airline. However, it’s just really, really far away — so if you’re someone in China who just can’t wait to spend your vacation in Argentina, you’ve got a full day’s worth of flying to look forward to!

There’s no data yet on how popular they expect this flight to be, but I can’t imagine that it will be a bestseller. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a full night’s sleep while on a plane? I would rather do basically anything else.
