The Turkish-born viral internet chef, Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, was seen popping into pictures and videos with the team memorializing their triumphant moment. He can be seen awkwardly trying to touch and grab the world cup trophy in many videos shared online.

The famous internet chef jumps into photos with, Angel di Maria, Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martinez, trying to get his hands on the trophy, even biting one of the player's medals.

In one particular clip, he gets Lionel Messi's attention, takes a forced photo, and then as Messi escapes his awkward handshake, he tries to pull him back for one more photo, only to be ignored.

Many fans were wondering how the Turkish chef even got onto the pitch, blaming FIFA for their lack of security. The organization has very strict rules about who can touch the trophy that date back to 1974, that state, "as one of the most recognized sports symbols in the world and a priceless icon, the original Fifa World Cup Trophy can only be touched and held by a very select group of people, which includes former winners of the Fifa World Cup and heads of state."

As Salt Bae fits none of the criteria for being allowed near the trophy, fans want FIFA to take action against him. However, he is friends with FIFA president Gianni Infantino, which is probably how he got the official FIFA accreditation to enter the pitch.
