Perhaps one of the most famous moments in the long and storied history of Swifties is when one fan who ran a Taylor Swift Updates account apologized for her absence from Twitter and explained that it was the result of her being jailed for refusing to join the Israel Defense Forces.
That fan has since become something of a folk hero not just in Swiftie circles but on the internet more broadly, and while we’ll never know for certain if they were telling the truth or not, it’s an unforgettable tweet either way.
A new candidate for one of the best tweets to come out of Swiftie Twitter has just emerged, however, courtesy of @autismlor. The user, who describes herself as an “autistic bisexual named taylor, just like your fav,” recently apologized for tweeting less, posting, “Sorry for being so inactive on this account, the Taylor hyperfixation kinda died a little once I started getting laid lmao.” Lmao indeed.

The tweet immediately reminded others of Legit Tay Updates, with one person replying, “Oh thank god. I thought you were in jail because you refused to join the IDF also.” A valid concern when a Swiftie stops tweeting for a few days, honestly, but fortunately this time around it was for a far more pleasant reason.
Two types of Taylor Swift fan account inactivity:

- Refusal of Ethno-National militarism
- Sex
Stan Twitter can be fairly all-consuming, and as a result, its demographic tends to skew younger — younger people typically don’t have families or as many responsibilities and thus have more time on their hands to argue over whether Taylor Swift is or isn’t bisexual or who would win in a fight between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion.
Fortunately, despite recently acquiring a boyfriend, @autismlor hasn’t abandoned her post completely; in fact, she’s been tweeting fairly regularly since going viral for announcing that she’s getting laid, including poking fun at the entire situation.

Good for you, girl. May we all start getting laid more and tweeting less!
