Why keep your normal teeth when you could have giant, unnaturally white chompers that degrade in less than a decade?
If you read this and thought, “who on earth would want that?” — congratulations, you’re not a TikToker. But for some, the idea of swapping their normal teeth out with radiant, uncomfortably straight porcelain pearls is totally normal. They’ll even travel to the ends of the earth to get them, even if the results are a little less perfect than expected.
But getting veneers, as it turns out, has downsides beyond having teeth that glow in the dark, as YouTuber and TikToker Tana Mongeau recently discovered.

In a recent video, Mongeau was talking to the camera when, suddenly, one of her fake teeth fell out of her mouth. She then proceeded to let out a wail rarely heard outside of a slaughterhouse, holding up her fake tooth for the camera to reveal that it did, in fact, escape the cruel clutches of her mouth.
Please do not get veneers y’all :( had no idea she had them but they literally trim down and ruin your original teeth just for some fake straight ones and you have to get them redone regularly for the rest of your life https://t.co/VGudVzID1O

Thankfully, Mongeau appeared to be in good spirits about the whole affair, ending the video somewhere between crying and laughing. Still, the video serves as a good reminder to those who are considering veneers — for now, just stick with braces and whitening strips.
