Last night authorities were called to the Americana Mall in Glendale, California after a suspicious-looking toilet was found near an AMC movie theatre. The toilet, which had been spray-painted with drawings and words, was mistaken for a bomb.

Police stated that the lone porcelain throne was accompanied by a note insinuating that it was a bomb. There was a digital sign next to the toilet reading “Beautification in Progress.”

The mall was then evacuated and the bomb squad was sent in to evaluate the situation. After examining the toilet with an X-ray machine and carefully taking it apart, it was clear there was no bomb in its bowl.
After interviewing witnesses and going over security footage, a male suspect was taken into custody and arrested. Still, there's no answer as to what the motive was. Aggressive performance art or a sick sign inciting anarchy?
