Study Finds the Best Language to Use for AI Is, For Some Reason, Polish
The future of our AI use depends on all of us learning words like “szczęśliwy.”

You might think that, given that most AI is trained on primarily English language texts, it would be easiest for an AI to reason in English. It turns out, that’s not exactly true. Strangely, if you want an AI to actually be effective and accurate, the language you should use is not English but … Polish.
Wait, Polish? The language with all the extra C’s and Z’s? Why?!?
No one knows, but researchers found that, when prompting AI in several different LLMs in a variety of languages, the accuracy was all over the board. Dutch was 80% accurate, English was 83.9% accurate — and, for some reason, Polish had an incredible 89% accuracy across several different LLMs.
So, if you want to be an effective prompter, you don’t need to take some sort of AI-learning course. All you’ve gotta do is download Duolingo!
