In February of 2013, Kai the hatchet-wielding hitchhiker went viral for an impassioned news clip where he detailed bashing a man over the head with his hatchet.

At the time, Kai was hailed as a hero for saving the lives of two people after a man he was riding with ran into a power company employee pinning him to a truck. He then told Kai he was Jesus Christ and could do whatever he wanted and proceeded to hop out of the vehicle and grab a nearby woman.

Kai sprung into action, striking the man repeatedly with the blunt side of the hatchet he was carrying, and well... the rest was history.

Kai enjoyed his new internet celebrity status for a few months before he was named as the prime suspect in a separate murder investigation.

Now that Netflix has released a documentary on Kai, it reminded us about the time he crashed on our very own MacDreidel's couch. So we reached out to Mac and asked him some questions about how it felt to have a murderer sleep at his house.
