How can a military body display both strength and intimidation? By busting out some sweet hip-hop moves. A video of Spain's “military” dancing like it’s a middle school talent show has gone viral. But the story behind the video is much more hilarious.
Twitter user @The_Real_Fly posted a clip from “Premios Ejército 2023,” an Army awards gala held in Madrid. The event celebrates artists who’ve made work surrounding the Armed Forces and defense.

Yes, the Spanish military has an art award. So naturally they would have a troupe of professional dancers dressed in fatigues to perform an elaborate routine in front of high-ranking military officers.
The audience is utterly silent as these dancers pretend to hold weapons as they leap across the stage to an instrumental version of Michael Jackson’s “They Don’t Care About Us.”
While the performance is hilarious, it does present a new and interesting way to handle international conflict. A dance battle.
