Shaq’s got your back … and this family’s appliances.

Earlier this week, four-time NBA Champion Shaquille O’Neal made a family’s day after purchasing them a brand new washer and dryer from Home Depot.

“I'm paying for it," he told the woman, who quickly began crying.

Despite this act of altruism, several fans questioned whether the star had another motive in dropping by his local Home Depot store.

Days earlier, the basketball great purportedly slid into Home Depot Girl – a.k.a. Josephine’s – DMs, offering her some words of advice after a photo of her sent men online spiraling.

“Don’t let them people [sic] bother u,” O’Neal wrote per screenshots posted to NBA new Twitter page Legion Hoops, encouraging Josephine to avoid reading comments.

“Stuff like that will u drive u crazy,” he elaborated. “Have a great day tell all your boyfriends I said hello, lol.”

Though the former Lakers' star’s words of wisdom seemingly made a difference to Josephine – “When Shaq texts you know you doing something right okay” she quipped – the pro athlete chalked it up their interaction to be all in a day’s work.

“Just uplifting people that’s what the diesel do baby I uplift people google me,” O’Neal later said of their interaction.

As such, Twitter was less than sold on the rationale behind the DJ’s trip to the hardware giant.

“We all know what bro was actually doing at Home Depot,” wrote @chuckgoldberg.

Yet, it seems Twitter’s guesses as to why, exactly the athlete was at Home Depot wasn’t too far off. Shortly after, the star released a music video chronicling his attempts at finding his own Home Depot Girl.

“I’m looking for somebody,” he joked at the end of the clip.

Shaq – a man whose hardware rizz, rap skills, and life advice are just as good as his signature slam dunks.
