Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland went into a three-hour lockdown on Wednesday, June 7, after an airsoft-toting teen was seen walking around school grounds. Though the incident resulted in no shots fired and no injuries, the teen was taken into custody per Washington Post.

While authorities confer with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office on the prospects of charging the teen with any crimes, the purported perp’s apparent decision to keep his Instagram active during their hours-long foray opened them up to a world of (well-warranted) roasting, as several of their peers flocked to their account with snarky remarks, according to one Twitter user claiming to be a student at Bowie High School.

“My high school had an active shooting threat earlier,” wrote @ratatatvandal alongside a photo of the incident and an image claiming to depict a screengrab of the teen’s social media page shortly after the lockdown. “No one got hurt but students did find the shooter's IG.”

Though we have not been able to independently confirm these comments – all photos have been removed from the Instagram account as of 3 p.m. on Friday, June 9.

“How you have 60 rounds and not hit one,” wrote one user in the image.

“Not even a shooter bro you ain’t shoot shit,” quipped a second, a third reiterating how they headed into police custody with “0 eliminations.”

Teenage roasts – if those in power won’t act to stop potential school shootings, the kids will shame them themselves.
