On Monday night, dozens of police cars and over 100 cops responded to 911 calls in Miami’s Bayside Marketplace. That’s what we do know. What we don’t know is whether they were there to deal with a horde of 50 “unruly juveniles” setting off pyrotechnics, or an invasion of 8-10 foot extraterrestrial “shadow beings.”

According to NBC, four juveniles were arrested after a sizable group set off fireworks, and firecrackers, and caused mass chaos throughout the mall. One video even shows 15-plus teenagers beating up a helpless man in the street. However, the overall lack of cellphone videos in combination with the extreme police response has many people thinking there is more to the story than meets the eye.

Some people claiming to be at the mall that day state that they saw 8-10 foot shadow-like aliens being fired upon by police. Others cite a parallel power outage and airport shutdown as more evidence of a government coverup. However, that power outage was the result of a car accident, and I cannot find any official report of an airport closure. There are also hearsay claims that police cut their scanners during the incident.

While the city’s enormous police response is shocking in retrospect, it makes sense in context.

“Some officers were heavily armed and approached the crowd displaying high-powered rifles, reflecting the fact that officers were initially erroneously told the situation involved an active shooter," James Torres, the the president of Downtown Neighbors Alliance said.

So while it’s more than a bit surprising to see that many cop cars at a mall, it’s not surprising in the slightest that yet another “aliens” claim comes without one shred of concrete evidence or a video over 240p.
