As calls mount for curmudgeonly Republican Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell to go to Hell, there’s another place several voters think he should stop first: A retirement home.
Weeks after the 81-year-old lawmaker sparked concerns about his health — and inadvertently became the face of being zooted in public — for freezing during a press conference, several of his constituents decided to take a stand, heckling the aging politician during an event in his home state on Saturday.
As Sen. McConnell addressed a crowd attending the annual St. Jerome Picnic in Fancy Farm, Kentucky, his speech was largely drowned out by protestors who spent several minutes slamming the Senator’s decision to continue serving despite appearing older than the Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth.

“Retire! Retire! Retire!” they chanted for minutes on end, jeering that he had “lost the Senate.”
Though McConnell largely ignored the protesters, he hinted that he would remain in office, come hell, high water or a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
“This is my 28th Fancy Farm and I want to assure you it’s not my last,” he said.

But hey, when his time does come to leave the Senate, we’re sure he could strike up a fruitful side hustle as a Yertle the Turtle impersonator.
