As you may have heard, Rage Against the Machine are back together and just recently they announced a 2020 world tour. Well, tickets went on sale today, and they're going for about $150 each. Not to mention the ones the scalpers have already picked up that are going for upwards of $1,000 dollars.
The band has already stated that proceeds from the first three shows will go towards immigrant rights organizations and some of the proceeds for the rest of the shows will go towards other causes. However, the people of Twitter are doing what the people of Twitter do and are expressing their rage... against the machine?
Rage against the machine is back. Nothing says fight the power and capitalism better than $$$ tickets. At the concert don't forget to wear that $40 Bernie shirt and buy $80 worth of merch to show how much you hate capitalism#RageAgainstTheMachine #RATM #coronavirus pic.twitter.com/slwq8tw0Pz

TFW you realize selling socialism is super profitable. @BernieSanders does it. Green Day does it. No surprise #RageAgainstTheMachine does it. People make millions selling ideas they want no part of.

FUCK YOU YOU'LL PAY WHAT I TELL YOU! #RageAgainstTheMachine

the irony of #RageAgainstTheMachine singing about empowerment to the lower class and selling tickets to only the upper class. SMH FOH #RATM #outrageagainstthemachine

For what 2 tickets would cost for a #RageAgainstTheMachine concert, I can go spend a week in Cuba with food & drink included. Looking forward to a week of drinks on the beach after that shitshow on #ticketmaster this morning. Never buying a ticket through them again, crooked mofos

Even after someone explained the situation, people were still raging away.
Also, everyone bitching about the cost of @ratm tickets aren't realizing that most, if not all of the profits will in turn be donated to charities and causes they support. Stop #RATM #RageAgainstTheMachine pic.twitter.com/VtzPN6aibr

That’s great, but I still can’t afford to see them.

I wish some of the money would go to making that message more readable.

After studying music business for an extended amount of time, it's drilled into your head that the crowd funded route is the route with the most positive fan feedback, and the most actual profit.

Ticketmaster, my absolute favorite charity. Couldn't they just do unannounced/secret shows at political events? Feels like that might do more good.
