News just broke that RadioShack, the long-running tech and gadget shop that bit the dust in 2015, is now being resurrected in the form of a DeFi cryptocurrency platform of all things -- and under the guise of infamous hustle-bro guru Tai Lopez.

Fun fact: This 2014 commercial was aired almost exactly a year before they went bankrupt after eleven straight quarters in the red.

Lopez and business partner Alex Mehr, who together operate the Miami-based Retail Ecommerce Ventures (REV) that purchased RadioShack last year, say that RadioShack will initially work as as a token-swap platform -- serving as something of a competitor to major exchanges like Binance and CoinBase.

Lopez and Mehr hope to leverage the long history and wide-ranging recognizability of the RadioShack brand to help bridge the "generational gap" that exists between younger, more tech-savy crypto investors and older demographics still raising a brow at the idea of "non-existent" currencies.

If you don't know Lopez, you may recognize him from his once-inescapable YouTube ad that has since become one of the most memed clips in hustle-bro history.

There's a strong argument to be made that if the aliens should find anything within the smoking wreckage of humanity, it should be this clip -- few things encapsulate us as a species as well as this four minutes.

Some in the crypto-sphere have cast doubt on the RadioShack reboot, branding it as nothing more than a prime opportunity for a rug pull or a pump-and-dump of Lopez's Atlas USV, but all of that remains to be seen -- for now, all we can do is admire RadioShack for its uncanny ability to survive and crawl back from the afterlife time and time again
