Buying concert tickets these days is miserable. If the act is popular at all, you’re likely going to have to wait in the queue on a website prone to crashing, all in hopes of beating out the scalpers who will inevitably snatch up all the tickets. And even if you make it through the hordes of bots, chances are that the tickets will be ridiculously expensive!

What gives?!?!

Nowhere is the broken nature of this system more clear than tickets for pop artists. People will literally get into fights for Taylor Swift tickets, and in the case of Ariana Grande, some fans are trying to capitalize on their tickets by flipping them online.

In at least one case, someone is trying to charge over a million dollars for their ticket. Will they get it? I doubt it, as there are other tickets available for significantly less. But, as much as I hate scalpers, if someone is willing to pay a million dollars for a ticket, you should probably sell them yours.
