Ever since A.I. has been accessible to the public, we’ve largely been using it to make meaningless bullshit.

While the promise of A.I. may have been that our workdays would get shorter and our lives would become less stressful, what actually ended up happening is that we still work the same amount, only we can produce ridiculous images and put clothes back on women. We’re living in the future we always dreamed of!

One A.I.-related area that is still under-explored for comedy purposes is music. Although most A.I. music sounds a little too robotic to be actually listenable, the fact that it’s close enough for most means that some have been able to turn their little prompts into fully fleshed-ideas, like this song about someone whose arms are just fucking stuck like this.

The TikTok page Obscurest Vinyl (@obscurestvinyl) has a host of vintage pop songs on their page that are the result of a prompt and several dozen computers burning unfathomable amounts of energy. Take this track about how it’s raining bullshit tonight:

Or a timely creation about how O.J. Simpson will never die:

And for good measure, this one about being bored at a baptism and resorting to smoking and “opening up a titty mag.” Who couldn’t relate?

These probably won’t replace your Spotify anytime soon — then again, do The Beatles have any songs called “Come Back Baby, I’m a Friend of Your Father” that are about some dude wearing your father’s thong? I think not.
