267 years ago, one of the greatest composers in the history of music was born; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The musician was born in Salzburg, Austria and he could already read and write music by the age of 5. The child prodigy would go on to compose over 600 pieces in his lifetime.
We've collected some of Mozart's greatest hits, as well as some of his deep cuts. Nearly three centuries later, we're glad his music still lives on.
Piano Sonata No. 12 in F Major
Light, airy, uplifting. Just like we like it.
Rondo Alla Turca
Obviously one of Mozart's most recognizable and popular pieces. You can thank Hollywood for continuously shoving this piece down our throats. We're surprisingly okay with it.
Serenade No. 13 “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”
Another popular piece, perhaps his most popular. That doesn't make it any less of a banger.
Lacrymosa
Lacrymosa was specifically written for the emo kids. I am sad. So very, very sad.
The Marriage of Figaro
No movie scene with kids running through a mall or airport is complete without Mozart's 'The Marriage of Figaro.' Absolute classic.
Symphony No. 40 in G Minor
Nothing to jump start the old ticker like 'Symphony No. 40.' Get ready for a roller coaster of emotions with this deep cut.
Don Giovanni
No it's not the Italian mob boss down the street, Don Giovanni is one of my personal favorites from the great composer. With one of the biggest and boldest intros, this song puts any Drake track to shame. And with that we say Happy Birthday, Mozart. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world.
