Actor and notable Bostonian Mark Wahlberg got a whole lot more than he bargained for when he ordered baklava from Nusret Gökçe, — a.k.a. “Salt Bae’s” — Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Beverly Hills — getting covered in bits of the flaky pastry in a tableside performance gone very, very wrong.

In a now-viral trip of the big screen icon’s trip to the trendy SoCal eatery, the server could be seen playing along with one of Gökçe’s various gimmicks, picking up a slice of baklava from a round tray, flipping it open and placing a pat of cream in the center.

The actor appeared less than amused by the showy plating, looking visibly concerned about whether his pistachio-colored sweater would wind up splattered with bits of its namesake nuts.

While his shirt ultimately met the unfortunate, dessert-y fate, Whalberg handled the incident in stride. “It is delicious but it is not nutritious!” the actor said of the pastry.

But even with his polite words, the actor’s eyes said it all — more specifically, “This would never happen at Dunkin’ Donuts.”
