After weeks of speculation on Princess of Wales Kates Middleton’s whereabouts, fans around the globe questioning whether an affair, some bad bangs or a guerrilla Gone Girl reboot were behind her decision to dip from the public eye, the royal finally broke her silence, announcing that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said of her illness, which was discovered following her abdominal surgery in January.
Middleton remained tight-lipped on the specifics of her diagnosis, asking that constituents, fans and internet detectives alike respect her privacy as she continues battling the disease.
“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said in a video shared to Kensington Royal’s official social media pages.
Yet, as royal enthusiasts grappled with the gravity of this announcement, Middleton’s legion of dedicated fans came to another harrowing revelation: We’ve all been bullying a woman with cancer.

“Everyone on Twitter deleting their conspiracy Kate Middleton tweets,” they joked.
But before sending our conspiracy posts into digital oblivion, it's important to remember that two things can be true at the same time. As our eBaum’s World boss so aptly put it, “You can’t see a BBL when you’re sitting down.”
