Though he may have been the lead singer of rock band Lostprophets, convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins recently found a shiv to the neck after being attacked by three fellow “heavy-duty cons” at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England.

Watkins, who is currently serving a 29-year prison sentence for several crimes, including sexually assaulting three children and attempting to rape an 11-month-old baby, was stabbed in the neck on Saturday in an incident that prompted “the whole wing” of the prison to be placed on lockdown.

“He was screaming and was obviously terrified and in fear of his life,” an unnamed source told The Sun of the attack, in which the three men “roughed” up the singer after barricading themselves into a cell.

As news of Watkins’ injuries  — ones that were (unfortunately) not fatal, per Police — began spreading on social media, metal fans headed to Twitter to express their well wishes … for the stabbers and the shiv.

“Ian Watkins' password to his laptop was "I fuck kids,” wrote @Serena_Partrick, adding that they “don't think any taxpayer money should be wasted trying to keep this man safe from his peers.” “You made your bed, Ian, now die in it.”

“Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person,” added @PeteCorvus.

Though several reveled in his injuries — “KARMA WINS!!!!” exclaimed @Lillyin_London — not everyone was wishing for the singer’s death.

“Personally, I hope Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins lives… recovers and goes back to jail where he gets stabbed again, and his life from now on is an endless cycle of stab, close to death, recover and stab again,” wrote @Gizzbo.

Hey, a metal fan can dream.
