Think your Fourth of July celebration sucked? Whether you spent your independence day watching fireworks, downing glizzys, or blowing your fingers off with fireworks smuggled over state lines, it still could have been worse – you could have attended Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin’s white party, a bash boasting the most insufferable guest list known to man.

On Monday, July 3, several of the internet’s most divisive celebrities took a night off from grifting, being rich and in the very specific case of James Corden, terrorizing drivers all throughout the Los Angeles area, to head to Rubin’s not-so-humble Hamptons abode to celebrate America’s birthday.

“A literal movie - white party 2023 recap,” the exec captioned a video featuring a host of slow-motion clips of celebrities galavanting through the gala.

Despite Rubin’s apparent attempt at invoking envy with his star-studded event, his video quickly proved to have the opposite effect, thanks, in part, to several questionable guests featured in the clip.

“If you are showing Tobias Harris in the first 5 seconds of the hype video what kind of party is it?” wrote Twitter user @danielralston beneath a screengrab depicting Corden attending the event.

“Great addition to the Ben Affleck ‘hello darkness’ canon,” added another, referencing a clip depicting the Batman alum looking even more miserable than usual.

As @HatingPublicly so aptly put it, “this type a shit makes me believe in secret social conspiracies.”
