Space is infinitely big. It’s a hard concept to grasp, and scientists are perpetually trying to understand how exactly we fit into the grand scheme of things. Well, new research points to Earth being “trapped inside a cosmic void,” and there’s apparently nothing we can do about it.

Sucks for us, but it’s probably a huge relief for the rest of the Universe.
