In high school, everything was a pipe. Formative experiences were made smoking weed out of an apple, and lungs were destroyed because your friend insisted he could make a bowl out of aluminum foil.

As an adult, however, most people put the days of “smoking out of soda cans” behind them. Not this man.

In a thread posted on X/Twitter, the aptly-named @WeirdBongs documents some of his best methods for smoking weed that don’t involve just buying a pipe. Here’s just a selection of some of my favorites:

“I was doing a lot of homemade gravity bongs with water bottles and jugs and stuff so I was already in the weed engineer mindset,” the mastermind behind @WeirdBongs told VICE, “and I was in the Salvation Army and I saw the elephant statue and I was like that’s fucking weird I bet I can smoke out of it and I decided it would be cool enough to start a gimmick account for.”

In the VICE interview, he also says that some of these are easier to make than you might think. Still, I’d recommend just buying a bong — you don’t want to have to explain your Fleshpipe to your Tinder date.
