Haribo, the Gummy Bear Company, May Have Accidentally Created the World’s Best Power Bank

Just like Hitachi makes both trains and the Magic Wand, Haribo can now say they make gummy worms and hikers’ favorite power bank.

On hiking forums, one unexpected product has become incredibly popular. No, it’s not a new lightweight backpack or foldable tent. Instead, it’s an ultralight power bank — made by Haribo.

As reported by The Verge, this power bank boasts a high capacity (20,000mAH), has a built-in USB-C cable, and somehow weighs just 9.9 ounces, making it one of, if not *the*, lightest power bank of that size on the market.

Not only that, but it’s also pretty cheap. Previous lightweight power banks of that capacity could run around $100; this one is available for less than $25.

So, I guess the real question is, why does this exist? Apparently, it was the result of a crowdfunded collaboration from Japan. But no matter why it exists, I’m not complaining!
