The hair salon/barber is a great place for self-care. You can pass the time by reading, browsing social media, or playing a game on your phone. What doesn’t pass the time is watching straight-up porn while getting your haircut. A little too much self-care.

A hairstylist, @theweeklymai on TikTok, has made a new PSA for future clients after catching some NSFW content while working on a male client’s hair.

“I didn’t think I’d have to say this on the internet but at your hair appointment if you could just not watch porn that would be amazing,” she states. “I don’t tend to look at people's phones but like that’s kind of hard to not see when you glimpse at it.”

What makes matters worse is that this is not the first time this has happened to Mai. Do people just not think that their phones are visible to other people’s eyes? Also, cause I know you’re wondering, in the comments, Mai described the video genre as “gymnastics-type sh*t.”

Other stylists in the comment section related to Mai’s utter disgust. One had this exact situation happen with several clients [and] other times it would be them sending explicit selfies.

“This happened to me when I worked at the European Wax Center. She thought her earbuds were connected to her phone [but] they were not,” said @iloveme33.

Where’s the couth or ounce of decorum left in this world? Newsflash, your hairstylist/barber is a person with eyes that doesn't want to see a video or image of you or anyone else naked. Keep your hands where I can see them, outside the cape.
