When Kevin Maginnis woke up and weighed himself on the morning of February 21st, he clocked in at 238 pounds. Deciding that this was unacceptable, he made the decision to lose weight... by eating exclusively at McDonald's for the next 100 days. Documenting the entire journey on his TikTok bigmaccoaching, Kevin has amassed almost 30k followers, appeared on the Today Show, and lost 13 pounds in his first 11 days.

Kevin's entire strategy revolves around caloric deficit, and he achieves this by eating only half of what McDonald's gives him for each meal. Outside of substituting a soda for a bottle of water, there is no catch. Kevin orders burgers, fries and desserts; he just limits how much of them he eats.

Despite ordering what he wants, you have to admit that his willpower is incredible. Each meal is quite small, (half the size), when compared to a normal serving, and the diet relies on holding your portions firm. To do this, Kevin takes inspiration from the famous marshmallow experiment. He also has experience with more extreme cutting from his days as a wrestler, and boxer in the army.

Kevin is still early on in his journey, so it remains to be seen if the McDiet is healthy in the long run. To determine this, he is regularly getting bloodwork done to track his cholesterol, among other things. No matter what, Kevin is worth the follow for his cheery attitude, and priceless wisdom nuggets.
