For a long time, economists have warned that there are many, many industries in the United States that appear to be bubbles, and that, one day, these bubbles are going to pop. Add into that the fact that everyone is in debt (average of over $105k per person, btw!), recent jobs reports have shown there are basically no available jobs anymore and even people with high credit scores are starting to fall behind on payments, the current picture of the U.S. economy isn’t the rosiest.
Another indicator that’s not good is just how many people seem to be panic-Googling ways to make money. Users on X have noted that searches for “bankruptcy lawyer,” “cant pay credit card,” “sell house fast” and “give car back” are hitting recent highs.
While this could be nothing, paired with all the other news, I would start taking my money out of the bank and investing in… What’s valuable these days? LaserDiscs? Yeah, buy a few of those.
