UPDATED: 9/21/21
Meet Gabby Petito. At 22 years old, Gabby had just quit her job to start a travel blog along with her fiancé Brian Laundrie.
Gabby already has a huge following on Instagram and decided to write about her travels while living out of a tiny van. Hence the term 'Van Life.'
The two set out on a cross-country road trip living out of a 2012 Ford Transit Connect. The video link in Gabby's Instagram bio shows a happy and spirited couple.

That video shows us two people just chasing their dreams together.
What the video doesn't show is the altercation which took place a week before in Moab, Utah.
August 12th
Police pulled the couple over after their van was spotted speeding, driving erratically, and eventually hitting a curb.
The body camera footage was released from that day, and we get a clearer picture of both Brian and Gabby.
What we know:
-Gabby was more stressed than usual that morning and had some sort of mental lapse.
-Brian had locked her out of the van earlier in an effort to keep space between the two.
-During the pull-over attempt, Gabby struck Brian in the face leaving him with a minor scrape/scratch.
-Gabby also held onto the steering wheel, causing the van to hit a curb.
-Neither were intoxicated.
-Gabby was NOT cited for domestic violence.
-Brian stayed in a hotel that night, while Gabby took the van.
The video ends with Brian checking into a hotel and the police were on their way. From what we can tell, things went back to normal. A week later Gabby would post the preview video of their travels, as well as this Instagram photo.

The internet is unbelievable, man. YouTube vlogger spotted Gabby Petito & Brian Laundrie’s van while editing footage, reported it, police searched the area & sadly (but fortunately for the investigation) found her body.
