At a time of extreme financial pressure, many of us are looking for ways to cut down on our spending — especially during the holiday season. But how can you do that? Well, the people of Fox News have an answer: Stop giving gifts to your family.
In a segment on gift-giving, guest Jade Warshaw said that those hoping to save money this year can do so by simply not giving gifts to their relatives — at least for anyone over the age of 18.
“Remember, adults don't need gifts,” Warshaw stated. “Focus on the people in your life who are aged 3 to 18. Grandma doesn't need slippers. If they don't live by you, don't get them a gift.”
As someone who would really rather not try to figure out what to get my aunt, I appreciate this advice. However, as an adult who enjoys presents, surely there’s a better way to save some extra money. Heck, why not instead of having to save money, we just make everything less expensive? Have we considered that?
