Of course, this isn’t the biggest deal in the world. It’s more that this is just really, really, really rare in the sports world — especially in a country where the average age of virginity loss is 17.

So, why did Lockett wait for three decades to do the deed? Well, he’s a devout Christian, which he says inspired him to wait until marriage before having any sort of relations with the opposite sex. However, two years ago, Lockett got married — which means that his promise to God had been fulfilled and he could finally cash in.
