Though comedy has never been Elon Musk’s strong suit — a sentiment proved through his Saturday Night Live appearance, his insistence on dubbing his sexual misconduct scandal “Elon-gate” and his choice to lug a massive sink into Twitter HQ for absolutely no good reason — the Tesla CEO recently managed to stoop to a new low this week, Cracking Chuck Norris jokes in 2023.

Over the weekend, Musk took a break from pissing off the SEC and fumbling the bag with Grimes to boldly venture where no man (or middle schooler for that matter) had gone in over a decade — (poorly) attempting to revive “Chuck Norris” comedy in a series of terrible Twitter replies.

It all started on Sunday, January 29, when Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus took to the platform with an old-school joke about the Return of the Dragon loser-turned notably early 2010s rap battle loser.

“Chuck Norris [sic] once threw a grenade and killed 50 people then it exploded,” he wrote, in a post that garnered more than 40,000 likes and hundreds of comments — including one from Space Karen himself.

“Chuck Norris could recover all the funds from FTX,” he wrote, a reply that singlehandedly proves there *is* something more excruciatingly millennial than BuzzFeed and Harry Potter in the vast internet hellscape.

Yet instead of letting it dead joke lie, Musk decided to continue his quest in making Chuck Norris jokes relevant again.

“Elon Musk works 25 hours a day,” tweeted Twitter blue-subscribed (derogatory) Musk fanboy account @TeslaHype.

“Less than Chuck Norris though,” Musk commented, another hamfisted attempt that sparked a collective eye-roll — and a few good roasts — from most people who saw it.

So Elon, if you’re reading this, remember, Chuck Norris jokes are so outdated that even Chuck Norris himself would struggle to make them relevant in 2023.
