They say the prison system is cyclical. After all, “Close to one-third of State prisoners recidivated within 3 years, and one-quarter within 2 years or less,” explains a piece in the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
Still, you’d hope one would get a little more time as a free man than this.

Here’s what happened. According to a report from Fox 2, the assaulter in question is a man named Seth Chuhran.
Chuhran loves building fences. Well, more specifically, he loves taking money to build fences, then running away without ever having built the fence. He’s gotten in trouble for this at least 10 times.
On one of the more recent occasions, he was put in jail and had a bond set at $50,000. Surprisingly, he quickly met the bond and was able to be released from jail — only to immediately be met by Fox 2 reporter Rob Wolchek, whom he promptly assaulted.
As you can see in the video, Chuhran was thrown right back into jail for the incident, though he didn’t end up serving any significant time for the incident. “Chuhran pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge and was sentenced to 18 months of probation and a fine of $675,” reads an update from the U.S. Press Freedom Tracker. “An assault and battery charge was dismissed.”
With regards to the other 10+ charges, there is no update as far as I can tell. But if you’re looking to build a fence in the Detroit area, you should probably consider someone a little less punch-happy.
