Flights these days are crazy. But flights in Russia? They’re on a whole other level.
Our cold brethren in Russia are known for a lot of things: baldness, drinking, animal husbandry, great dash-cam videos — you’re probably already familiar. One thing they’re not necessarily known for, however, is their tact. This can be seen in a video posted to r/PublicFreakout, which shows a man on an S7 flight in Russia losing his goddamn mind.
"Drunk" Russian Man Restrained and Arrested after Tweaking and Briefly Strangling Passenger

In the video, the man can be seen getting up and beginning to fidget. After a few seconds, he freaks out, attempting to strangle another passenger before being restrained and, finally, escorted off of the plane.
We don’t know when or where this happened — not for lack of trying, but because it seems like this sort of thing happens on Russian airline S7 all the time. For example, back in 2019, a Russian man ended his flight being taped to a chair after attempting to storm the cockpit.
A year prior, a different passenger “took off his clothes and ran around the cabin” before beginning to hit a flight attendant. Earlier this year, there was even a Russian version of the “not real” lady — a man who refused to let the S7 aircraft take off because he said he saw ghosts.
A flight of a Russian S7 airline from Novosibirsk to St Petersburg was delayed for three hours because one of the passengers "saw" three ghosts of Wagner mercenaries who were watching him, according to the man.

So if you’re considering a flight to Russia, don’t. Or, if you must, at least take a few MMA classes beforehand and get ready for a good fight.
