TikToker Elixxaa posted a video on the platform earlier this month of a woman seemingly performing an exorcism on a Halloween display at her local Costco. In it, the woman can be seen sitting in front of a skeletal figure in a hood. Brandishing a cross in her left hand, she can be heard shouting, “Get behind me Satan, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost!”

First things first: Her delivery is impeccable. The delivery on ‘Holy Ghoooooost’ is especially meme-worthy. Second thing: Did she just have that cross with her in case of exorcism emergencies? Or had she previously seen this display and returned with the express purpose of performing her exorcism? Third: Halloween decorations? In July?

For those who can’t get enough of this performance, you’re in luck, because there’s a longer video from Elixxaa’s brother’s POV.

At the end of both videos, a Costco employee can be seen approaching the woman, but beyond that, we have no idea what happened, or whether she was even thanked for her work cleansing Costco of evil spirits.

While Halloween as it’s celebrated in the U.S. is largely a secular holiday (unless you consider capitalism a religion), some Christians decline to celebrate it due to its Pagan origins and celebration of evil spirits. As one Redditor explained, “Some churches believe that dressing up ‘like evil spirits’ is giving Satan permission to change your soul to match your costume.”

Perhaps the best thing about it all is that the towering figure she was rebuking can be yours for the low price of $279.99! The reaper is 10 feet tall and weighs more than 28 pounds, and comes with “lifelike” (but he’s dead?) LCD eyes, a glowing chest, realistic head turning and jaw movement and the ability to play spooky phrases.

To be fair to Costco Karen, that does sound terrifying, albeit not necessarily possessed by an agent of Satan.
