Companies Say They Can’t Use A.I. Because Job Applicants Would Rather Stay Unemployed Than Talk to a Robot
I’m not getting a job if it means working next to a Clanker.

Companies love farming out their jobs to A.I. Unfortunately for them, there are many, many problems associated with this. First, A.I. kind of just doesn’t work yet, meaning that regular employees are often tasked with cleaning up the messes that A.I. makes. Second — and this is related — people just don’t really like working with an A.I.
This is why so many companies that have switched to A.I. are now reporting manifold issues actually using it, especially when it comes to hiring.
For example, according to a recent article in Fortune, many companies are switching from in-person interviews or Zoom interviews to A.I. interviews, where people are questioned over a live call by an A.I. bot. While this may sound nice for the company, applicants hate it — so much so that there’s now an increasing number of reports of people leaving interviews the minute they learn it’s A.I.-powered.
This isn’t just motivated by Clanker hate, mind you. In the Fortune article, one frustrated applicant noted that the A.I. is deeply stupid and simply asks questions based on the points on your resume. Not only that, but because it’s a robot that doesn’t work for the company, it can’t answer any questions about it, such as work culture or benefits.
What do you think? Would you still go for a job if the process involved several A.I. powered interviews?
