Instagram has led to a lot of bizarre items entering menus. From pizza served on a snowboard to a fried chicken Ferris wheel, there’s no end to what restaurants will do to make their food more appealing — apart from, you know, improving the food.

One of the main areas where this can be seen in literally anything involving cheese. Given that a good cheese stretch is pretty visually striking, it’s no surprise that restaurants have done such absurd things as cover a cheeseburger in liquid cheese. One restaurant even decided to bring a pan of cheese to the table to cover French fries. Unfortunately, that decision led to this:

In the video, a group of eager eaters can be seen waiting for staff to cover their fries in far too much cheese. Soon, however, a bandit appears. This bandit didn’t want the fries; rather, he had his eyes set on the gooey delight that was about to cover them. And so, he reached out, and he snatched it.

What follows is pure disbelief. How could someone do something so bold, so heartless, as to rob these hungry folks of their beautiful cheese?

If you want to avoid this, maybe eat inside, or just order something with the cheese already on it. At least in the latter case, stealing it would require a bit more effort.
