Billie Eilish has a new back tattoo. People on the internet aren’t thrilled about it.
Internet users have been speculating about Eilish’s new back tattoo for over a month. According to Insider, the speculation began back in September after Eilish took off her jersey during a performance at Music Midtown, inadvertently revealing part of the tattoo.

Since then, only a few pictures have come out hinting at the tattoo’s existence. For example, Eilish posted a picture of the back of her neck to Instagram showing part of the tattoo. She’s also wearing a baseball cap on top of a beanie in this photo. Fashion!
“Oh man,” fans thought upon seeing the photo, “once we see this whole thing, we’re going to freak out. Absolutely lose it. Billie’s a big star — surely she’ll get one of the coolest tattoos the world’s ever seen!”
Well, now we have seen the whole tattoo, and it’s, you know, something.

In a picture posted to her Instagram, you can see the tattoo in full just after it’s been completed. The tattoo appears to have been inked by artist Matias Milan and features a… thing? going down Eilish’s spine. We’ll just call it “abstract” and leave it at that.
After seeing the full tattoo, internet users, as they often do, made their thoughts known.
Ya know, people wanna hate on this but tbh I gotta say this is actually incredible/impressive as it's probably the worst tattoo I've ever seen in my life & that's truly an accomplishment in its own right

As you can tell, the general consensus seems to be some variation of “haha,” “that sucks” or simply “what?” Not exactly the reaction you want upon sharing something that’s going to be on your body the rest of your life.
Then again, who are we to judge the tattoos of others? If someone wants to get a tattoo that looks like someone is trying to get a pen to start writing again by scribbling, more power to them. After all, it’s not the worst celebrity back tattoo we’ve ever seen anyway.
