Earlier this week, self-described filmmaker @funEman_ took to Twitter with a question for the film buffs of the platform:“YOU THERE, CINEPHILE WHAT IS A VERY OBSCURE BEHIND THE SCENES STORY FROM A FILM, THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT?” he wrote, clearly forgetting to have switched off Caps Lock (it happens to the best of us bud).

@funEman_ sure as hell got an answer as his post garnered 22.3 million views and a whole lot of insane trivia tidbits – including one about just how practical effects aren’t always better.

“Willem Dafoe's dick needed a stand-in when they filmed antichrist coz apparently it was so big,” mused Twitter user @leanbeefmami, dubbing the ordeal one of his “fave facts.”

Much like big dicks, big plant puppets too, have also caused problems on the set of notable films, namely, the giant Audrey II puppet seen in Little Shop of Horrors.

“In Little Shop of Horrors (1986) because the plant was such a giant, complicated puppet, the frame rate for filming the plant was slowed to 12 or 16 frames per second,” explained @finalgirlhannah alongside a clip of Rick Moranis and the puppet performing  “Feed Me (Git It).”

“In scenes like this, actors had to act and move in SLOW MOTION and the scenes were then sped up in post,” they continued.

Ghostbusters was also impacted by the absurdity of practical effects – just ask Frances E. Nealy, who played the Chambermaid in the iconic flick.

“In GHOSTBUSTERS (1984), this famous line from the hotel maid was improvised, because Effects Supervisor Thaine Morris and his team overloaded her cart with way more pyrotechnics than expected,” explained @themattprov of Nealy’s now famous “what the hell are you doing?” “Her reaction was 100% genuine and directed at the crew.”

But it’s not just film. The silver screen also made an appearance in the thread as user @CometTravapaw detailed the very lucky truth behind one of Breaking Bad’s most iconic scenes.

“You know that scene where Walter threw a pizza on his roof? That was done on his first try,” they wrote, adding in a clip of the famous moment. “In fact, the entire crew had so many pizzas left over the entire crew has a pizza party after filming that scene.”

Though Walter White’s pizza-throwing abilities may not be a sham, the same can’t be said for yet another flick – Dumbo.  “Elephants can't actually fly, the entire movie is animated,” wrote @lithohedron.

Wow. My entire childhood is a lie.
