The only thing more jolting than a strong cup of joe? Discovering that a Russian missile destroyed the front window of your local coffee shop.

For Mariia, a barista in Kyiv, Ukraine, not even the horrors of war were enough to stop the coffee from flowing. In a now-viral clip, the 18-year-old can be seen going about business as usual moments after shrapnel from a Russian rocket blasted through the front of her coffee shop.

"Our coffee shop is also alive. We make coffee, we work. It's okay,” she told Radio Free Europe shortly after the attack, one of three the Ukrainian capital has faced over the past several days. "Everything will be fine. Everything will be Ukraine. Something like that."

While it’s unclear how long Mariia will be able to continue her operation, one she described as a welcome distraction among the ongoing violence, one thing is certain: She sure deserves a raise ... and several post-war vacation days.
